The Pilates Method

Pilates is a hot trend and very popular form of exercise, but there’s a lot more to it than most people are aware of. Created in the 1920’s by Joseph H. Pilates, the method focuses on correct body alignment through neuromuscular retraining. Through a series of precise movements, Pilates uses specially designed equipment to improve flexibility and strength, while heightening awareness of muscle function and control. Pilates is an effective form of exercise and rehabilitation that improves concentration, refines postures, and lengthens muscles.

Our Experience

We work with clients ranging from 14 years old to 87 years old. We work with clients that have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis, those recovering from cancer treatment, burned out athletes, post-surgical clients, postpartum moms, those with general non-specific lower back pain, and just about everyone else in between! Many clients come to us based on the recommendation of their doctor and are pleased with the results that Pilates brings.
