The Pilates Method
Pilates is a very popular form of exercise, but there’s a lot more to it than most people are aware of. Created in the 1920’s by Joseph H. Pilates, the method focuses on correct body alignment through neuromuscular retraining. Through a series of precise movements, Pilates uses specially designed equipment to improve flexibility and strength, while heightening awareness of muscle function and control. Pilates is an effective form of exercise and rehabilitation that improves concentration, refines postures, and lengthens muscles.
