A dancer since the age of five, Kelly pursued a professional dance career after earning her Bachelor of Arts in Dance at CSUF. Unfortunately, chronic back pain from previous injuries halted her ambitions. She began taking Pilates in 1995 to relieve her pain and reclaim her strength. In 2002, she earned her comprehensive teaching certificate from The New York Pilates Studio and Pilates Guild, testing out with Master Teacher and Pilates elder, Romana Kryzanowska. Since then, she has taken a variety of workshops and gained additional certificates, including Buff Bones®, a medically-endorsed exercise method for bone and joint health. Kelly was the first to open a classical Pilates studio in Hillsboro, Oregon, which she successfully managed for six years. When not teaching Pilates, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, hiking, and dancing as much as possible.
